It is nearly a hundred years since the innkeeping tradition began at the
Dana Place Inn. Named for its original innkeepers, Mr. and Mrs. Otwin Dana,
the inn and its setting has been a stop for thousands. If it is just for a
night, or for your wedding, make the Dana Place Inn part of your memories.
The Dana Place, built in the 1890s still retains its historic appeal in the
pleasantly updated original rooms. From queen beds to family suites, there
will be a room to meet your needs. All rooms have private baths, many with
decks and make sure you ask for one with a view of the Ellis River.
The Dana Place Inn has every amenity a guest could want. After a great day
of tennis, fly fishing, hiking or skiing, the indoor pool and Jacuzzi hits
the spot. For those who enjoy great dining, and a quiet evening, how about a
glass of wine or brandy fireside in the library? Tennis anyone? With 4
courts, 2 hard surface and clay, the Dana Place Inn should fulfill any
tennis buff. Choose the south side of the court and look at the top of Mt.
Washington!
In addition, The Inn has been known for years for its food. The menu is
complete with everything from Duck A L’Orange to Veal Oscar. Or try the
"Brandied Apple Chicken," featured in "Bon Apetit"! Don’t forget to order a
Caesar Salad–tableside.
Set on 300 acres surrounded by the National Forest, this is the closest Inn
to AMC hiking, Mt. Washington, and surrounding peaks, including Wildcat Ski
Area. 1 mile to Jackson Village shops, restaurants, and golf courses.
Featured in: Ford Times—"Famous Eating Place," Gourmet Magazine—"Fall
Classics."
